CMS Content Management Systems

Content Management Systems, known as CMS, are web based software programs that are used to manage the written and image content of websites.  Having a CMS enabled website enables a site editor with no web design or HTML knowledge to add, edit and remove text, image content and pages.  With a few simple clicks you can create a new page on your site, add text content (as easy as writing a word document) and import and edit images in just a few clicks. CMS websites come with a bespoke design created just for your on-line business.

How does it work?

A database sits at the back of the web site, content generated on your web pages is extracted from this database. The user logs in, and through simple forms, updates the database, as simple as writing an email or using a text editor. We recommend using open source solutions for many CMS sites as this keeps costs down for our clients, although when required we can write bespoke solutions, in the past these solutions have linked into stock databases, or a simple as for sale sections within website were the owner can log in and update new products or add new items.
