Rookie Rules!

Relentless Suzuki by TAS rookie Ian Lowry is determined to do everything he can to challenge Leon Camier this afternoon in a bid to get on the front row in the Swan Combi 50 - Roll for Pole for the first time.

Lowry had a dominant start to the session, leading until the final 20 minutes when championship leader Camier took the advantage. Lowry who is back to full fitness this weekend after being struck down with illness at Brands Hatch is eager to prove that despite being a rookie he is targeting his maiden podium finish this weekend.

Lowry told the BSB website: "The conditions have been really good this weekend so far and the Relentless Suzuki has been working a dream around here. The session this morning was really good and I feel that we have made some progress from yesterday and we had two strong sessions then. This afternoon it is just a case of getting a few good laps and I have to say I have never had so much fun as I have had today. This circuit is a bit unlike any other as you have to really compromise on set-up. We have a few things that we are changing for qualifying which will give us a bit of an extra boost for this afternoon. I definitely can't complain and I will be doing all I can to try and get close to Camier."
