Lowry Big Bang

Ian Lowry admits he doesn't know what happened to cause the crash in the final qualifying session in the Swan Combi 50 - Roll for Pole at Knockhill this afternoon.

There were still eight minutes remaining when there was an incident at the Real Radio Hairpin involving Ian Lowry and Glen Richards, with both crashing out. Lowry was able to get back out on circuit on his spare Relentless Suzuki, but Richards has been taken to Queen Margaret hospital in Dunfermline with a suspected broken right femur.

Lowry : "I really don't know what happened to be honest, I just heard a screech of the tyres and then a bang and down I went. I am not really injured, just a sore knee and back but other than that I think I was quite lucky. It is a bit disappointing as that session was going well, but we will now have to just wait and see what happens tomorrow."
